FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to get a visa for Tanzania?

It is mandatory for all individuals visiting Tanzania to secure a visa, which is now conveniently available through the online application system, eVisa. We advise applicants to submit their requests as soon as possible before their anticipated travel date to allow for adequate processing time. In the event that one is unable to acquire a visa online before departure, it is possible to procure one upon arrival. However, please be prepared for the possibility of extensive waits.

What's included in the trip?

This trip is almost all-inclusive, with very few exceptions. Alcoholic and soft drinks are not included. Refer to the inclusions and exclusions.

Can you adapt to vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free diets?

The trip will cater to all food allergies and dietary requirements except for Kosher diets. All food will be Halal.

Will there be shopping opportunities during the trip?

Yes. We'll be stopping by a local market, and when we're in Zanzibar, you'll have some free time to go shopping.

How fit do I need to be for this trip?

This safari is a trip that's open for everyone as it doesn't require any hiking. Just be ready to spend several hours a day in the Jeep, enjoying the adventure comfortably.

Can I have a room to myself?

All the costs mentioned are based on sharing a room with another guest, with twin bedding. We'll pair you with another solo female traveler on the trip. If you'd prefer to have your own room, there will be a single supplement of 990 USD.

I want to bring my partner on the trip. Can I?

This is actually a small group trip specifically designed for women traveling on their own. However, if you'd like to bring a female friend, partner, or family member, they are absolutely welcome! Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate male travelers on own trips.

I want to bring my daughter. Can I?

If your daughter is above the age of 16, we would be thrilled to have her join us.

How do you empower women in Tanzania?

We've teamed up with Glory Tobias and her initiative, Adventure Women Africa. By booking this safari, you're not just signing up for an unforgettable experience; you're supporting Glory and her team in their mission to train women as guides and drivers. This invaluable work paves the way for new business opportunities within the female community and helps elevate their work conditions.

How does this trip help local communities in Tanzania?

All our team members, from guides to drivers, and other collaborators, are locals, which means we actively support our country's economy. What's more, we ensure they are always paid above market rates, which helps foster economic improvement in our country and contributes to the financial independence of the women who work with us.

What medication do I need to take for my trip to Morocco?

Tanzania doesn't mandate any vaccinations unless you're arriving from countries with a high risk of yellow fever; for those cases, you will need to be vaccinated. It's highly recommended to consult with your healthcare provider for advice on the most suitable medication for your situation. Generally speaking, you would need a course of antimalarial tablets as a preventative measure.

What should I pack for this adventure?

Once we've got your safari adventure locked in, you'll receive a super handy packing guide that covers all the essentials. Remember, when you're out in the wild, it's all about harmony with nature. Please leave those bright city colours – think reds, blues, and whites – behind and opt for nature's own palette: think khaki, olive, and savannah sunset hues. And not to dampen your style, but do steer clear of black; it's a total magnet for those pesky mozzies!

What happens if I get sick?

We understand that getting sick while traveling alone in a foreign country can be worrisome. That's why we require all our guests to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance that includes international evacuation. In the unlikely event that you fall sick during the trip, we will take you to the nearest medical facility so you can receive the necessary care. Additionally, one of our local partner staff will be there to assist you with translations and anything else you may need.

What travel and medical insurance should I get?

It's super important to have thorough travel and medical insurance, love. Imagine if you ever needed an emergency ride to Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, or even a flight back home — you’d want to be absolutely covered, right? Make sure your policy has got your back for anything life throws your way on your adventures! 🌟✈️
