THE WILDEST JOURNEY

Awaken to nature's anthem in the African savannah, flanked by majestic elephants and lofty giraffes. Imagine a canvas painted with zebras, elephants, lions, and wildebeests—their freedom a mere arm's length away.

This isn't just a trip; it's a profound immersion into the wild, alongside kindred spirit adventurers—and the indomitable Mother Nature.

Group Max. 12 women

There are beautiful places all over the world—but few will change you like Tanzania will.

We could tell you this is one of the best places on Earth to spot the Big Five, that the sunsets are straight out of a dream, or that it’s also home to some of the most stunning beaches and turquoise waters you’ve ever seen.

All true.

But this trip? It goes beyond that.

This is the kind of journey that shakes something awake inside you. A return to something ancient, untamed, and deeply feminine.

A celebration of nature, sisterhood, and freedom.

We’re not waiting another year to feel this alive.

You coming?

WILD WISDOM

This isn’t just any safari—it’s led by Glory Thobias Salema, Tanzania’s first female safari and mountain guide. A true force of nature.

She didn’t just break the rules—she rewrote them. Now she’s training the next generation of women to do the same. With Glory, you’ll see Tanzania not only through her eyes, but through her heart.

OFF THE TOURIST TRACK

We’re not lining up behind 30 other tourists to snap the same lion pic.

We’re a small group of women traveling with purpose.

Yes, we’ll explore the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. But we’ll also share tea with Maasai women, cook Swahili dishes barefoot by the beach, and spend time with local changemakers.

THE KIND OF BEAUTY THAT LEAVES YOU SPEECHLESS

Imagine elephants walking by your lodge as you sip coffee.

The savannah stretching endlessly ahead.

Nights under the stars in a luxury tent, waking to the call of birds.

And then… Zanzibar. Where the wild gives way to white-sand beaches, turquoise water, and the rhythm of island life.

See what our travelers are saying

From the moment we arrived, Aina made sure everything was taken care of, so I didn’t have to stress about the small details of getting from place to place. That level of organization allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience, take in the breathtaking landscapes, and truly enjoy the journey.

Beyond the incredible sights, this trip gave me something unexpected—a shift in perspective. It helped me step back, reset, and see life differently. I’m so grateful I took this adventure, and I highly recommend The Women Travel Co. to anyone looking for a well-planned, stress-free, and truly transformative travel experience.

Truly the best trip I’ve ever taken. Booking with The Women Travel Co. was by far the easiest travel experience I’ve ever had.

Not a single detail was missed — I felt safe and cared for, like how I imagine celebs feel when they travel!

Every moment was designed with intention. Aina was a fantastic host and always there if we needed anything.

Aina is exceptional at what she does. I couldn’t plan a trip like that even with an unlimited budget. She has a true gift for designing phenomenal experiences, and I feel so lucky I got to join the Iceland trip. I will join not only India in 2025, but also Iceland in summer, Spain, Tanzania and more in 2026.

It’s not just about the destination, it’s the whole experience. Meaningful, intentional travel that lets you live a culture from the inside. I now look no further than where The Women Travel Co. is heading next.”

One of the most valuable things I learned was that I can be happy once more. I would absolutely contemplate traveling with them again.

It was an incredible experience, where I felt a renewed sense of freedom, relaxation, and optimism for the future.

Christina Eckhoff, DEU

I loved all of it!

Relaxed structure, there was enough to do and I always felt included but never pressured.

Besides the normal vaca refresh, I took a lot of beautiful experiences and I appreciate that we spent time checking in

Michelle D.T, USA

I had many great learning experiences and the organizers did a fantastic job of bringing everything together to create special memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you.

Would you like to be here and experience
The magic of Tanzania?
Stop imagining, it can be real now.

"No man is more complete than the one who has traveled extensively, who has changed his way of thinking and living twenty times."

–Alphonse Lamartine, writer, poet, and politician

Requirements to join our trip:

pensamiento-positivo.png

POSITIVE ATTITUDE

We’re here to have a great time. Your energy impacts the group, so we want people ready to have fun, who understand the importance of teamwork, and who are open to making new friends.

mente-abierta.png

FLEXIBILITY

Nothing is permanent, everything changes, and you need to be open to the unexpected. We’re looking for people who understand that both the planned and unplanned moments will add magic to our trip. Are you coming with an open mind?

autonomia.png

AUTONOMY

Both our local guide Glory, and I will be there for anything you need, and our goal is to make sure you have an unforgettable experience. That said, we’re looking for autonomous women who understand that we’re all part of the group. There’s no "staff" on this trip—no one will be carrying anyone else’s bags.

Travelers are even interviewed beforehand to make sure they’ll mesh with the group and have similar expectations. All the women got along seamlessly, and there wasn’t anyone affecting the group negatively!

As someone who usually plans and studies every detail of my trips, I loved just being able to relax and go along for the ride—everything was so carefully scheduled, including downtime.

Despite activities that pushed me outside my comfort zone, this was still a trip of ease and comfort. Transportation was seamless and private for just our group.

Don’t wait for everyone else to travel! I’m so glad I found this travel company and the chance to see the world with like-minded solo women in a small, intimate setting.

Aina made sure everyone felt comfortable, and each day was thoughtfully planned. This experience has truly changed the way I want to travel from now on!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to get a visa for Tanzania?

Yes. Most nationalities can apply for an e-visa online before departure. We’ll guide you through it.

What’s the weather like in June?

It’s dry season—ideal for safari. Expect sunny days and cooler mornings and nights. In Zanzibar, it’s warm, breezy, and beach-perfect.

Can you adapt to vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free diets?

The trip will cater to all food allergies and dietary requirements.

How fit do I need to be for this trip?

This trip does not require any minimum level of fitness and all almost all conditions are welcome. No intense hikes or treks—just light walks and comfortable game drives. If you can walk for a couple hours, you’re good.

Can I have a room to myself?

All prices shown are per person in a twin shared room with another female traveler. If you prefer more privacy and a private room, you should choose the "private room" option.

I want to bring my partner on the trip. Can I?

This is actually a small group trip specifically designed for women traveling on their own. However, if you'd like to bring a female friend, partner, or family member, they are absolutely welcome! Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate male travelers on our trips.

I want to bring my daughter. Can I?

If your daughter is above the age of 18, we would be thrilled to have her join us.

How Does This Trip Benefit the Locals?

We don’t use middlemen. We work directly with local women, cooperatives, and changemakers—so your money supports those who make your experience unforgettable. This means 100% of your investment goes straight to the people who make this trip possible and ensure its success.

What should I pack for this adventure?

We’ll send you a full packing list, but think layers, comfy shoes, and a swimsuit (or two!).

What happens if I get sick?

We understand that getting sick while traveling alone in a foreign country can be worrisome. That's why we require all our guests to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance that includes international evacuation. In the unlikely event that you fall sick during the trip, we will take you to the nearest medical facility so you can receive the necessary care. Additionally, one of our local partner staff will be there to assist you with translations and anything else you may need.

What travel and medical insurance should I get?

You’ll need comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage, trip cancellation, lost baggage, and emergency evacuation—just in case. Make sure it covers adventure travel and includes Tanzania and Zanzibar. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ll share trusted recommendations after booking.

What Airport do I fly into?

You’ll fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and fly out of Zanzibar (ZNZ). If you're not sure which flights work best, we’ll help guide you once you book your spot.
